How to prepare Jack Daniel's Barbecue Sauce

Start by melting the butter in a saucepan. When it begins to froth, add the onion 1 and let it just wilt. At this point, add the apple juice and lemon juice 2, the Worcestershire sauce 3,

the apple cider vinegar 4, the Tabasco 5, and the brown sugar 5. Wait for it to return to a boil.

Then add the ketchup 7, mustard and wasabi 8, the Jack Daniel's 9, and let it simmer for about 35/40 minutes over very low heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let it cool completely before storing in the fridge. The sauce keeps for a few weeks.
