Stuffed Meatballs with Salad and Tomatoes



  • 1.1 lbs (500g) of ground meat
  • 1 onion, chopped (sautéed in oil)
  • 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs or panko
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Curry powder to taste
  • Nutmeg to taste
  • 1/2 cup (about 120ml) of milk

For the Filling:

  • Green salad
  • Diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon of sour cream for each meatball
  • 3.5 ounces (100g) of grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Prepare the meatballs: In a bowl, combine the ground meat with the sautéed onion, panko, egg yolk, salt, pepper, nutmeg, curry, and milk. Mix well until the mixture is homogeneous. Form small meatballs with your hands.

Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, mix the sour cream, grated mozzarella, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Make a well in the center of each meatball and fill with a spoonful of the filling.

Cook the meatballs: In a pan with some oil, cook the meatballs until they are well browned on all sides and cooked through. Arrange the stuffed meatballs on your prepared salad and tomatoes.
