PRESENTATION

Okay, so here's the deal. These no-bake savory cups from Southern Italy are just perfect for summer gatherings and aperitivo hours—adding a bit of fun and flavor. Seriously good. You start with a crispy base made from crumbled taralli. You know, those delicious, crunchy snacks that folks in the south just love. They are way, way tastier than crackers and delightfully crunchy without being greasy. Really, they are.

Then comes a generous spread of creamy cheese—which pairs perfectly with the taralli. Makes each bite so satisfying. But wait, the real star? It is gotta be the pesto. Made from sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil, and roasted almonds, it gives these cups a burst of Mediterranean flavor. In places like Puglia and Campania, people are all about these no-cook appetizers because they deliver big flavor without heating up the kitchen—super handy when it's hot out.

Plus, the transparent cups show off all those layers. Looks fancy. Minimal effort. For sure.

And listen, when guests arrive hungry, these easy savory recipes are good to go. No oven needed. The rustic pesto is tangy and nutty. The cheese? Soft. And the taralli stay perfectly crunchy at the bottom, making each bite just hit all the right notes. Pretty much a flavor party.

Also, these snacks highlight authentic Italian flavors while keeping things simple, so you don’t miss out on the party. Single-serving cups mean everyone can grab and mingle easily, with the colors of tomatoes and basil looking super fresh and summery. Compared to phyllo cup appetizers or traditional savory cheesecake bites, these no-bake savory cups are less fussy yet equally impressive.

They really are a hit for quick party appetizers, especially when you need something prepped ahead and chilled. With a blend of creamy cheese, crunchy taralli, and that incredibly flavorful pesto, these no-cook appetizers are totally going to become a summer staple. Whether it's a casual gathering or an elegant event, these savory cups are sure to please. Can't go wrong.

To prepare the no-bake savory cups, first crumble the taralli with your hands 1 to coarsely break them up 2. Pour the crumbled taralli into 6 transparent cups with a capacity of 65 ml (about 2.2 fl oz) 3.

Set them aside and move on to the other ingredients: finely chop the garlic after removing the inner sprout 4, then chop the almonds 5 and the sun-dried tomatoes 6.

In a large bowl add the garlic and the almonds 7, then add the basil leaves torn by hand 8 and the grated cheese 9.

Also add the sun-dried tomatoes 10 and mix well 11 to combine the ingredients so as to obtain a coarse pesto 12.

Now take the cups again and fill them with the Philadelphia Light spreadable cheese 13. Level the surface with the back of a teaspoon 14 and distribute the sun-dried tomato pesto on top 15.

Finally garnish with pistachios 16 and a few basil leaves 17. Your no-bake savory cups are ready to be served 18!
